Duane Vincent Chavez grew up in Espanola NM. He graduated from The University of New Mexico with a degree in business and minor in communications and family studies. He traveled the U.S. opening up American chain restaurant concepts & made his way back to Espanola in the early 2000’s opening up what we remember here in town as Dos Amigos Restaurant with his twin brother Dustin Chavez.
Duane and his wife Dr. Jessyca Franco-Chavez have now made their way back to beautiful Espanola Valley to find their roots again and honor the life of their family legacy as the grandchild and heir of Dr. Samuel Redding & Isabel Ziegler & son of the late Errol Chavez, Kenneth and Julie Ziegler-Langille. Currently, Duane helps run The Healing House on a day-to-day basis and is in the process of building out his movement therapy program on-site The Healing House utilizing his Black Belt Degree in Tae Kwon Do and honoring his teachings through martial arts.

Guadalupe Salinas de Rios was born in Espanola, NM and is the youngest daughter of Naturalized Mexican Immigrants. She is an Undergrad in Integrated Studies with Emphasis in General Psychology and Herbalism with 4 years experience in Retail and Customer Service.
She self-studies and practices botany and planting for the purpose of creating healing, organic and holistic remedies and cosmetics that she has learned from her mother, and builds her own recipes from the foundations that have been passed down through the generations of women in her family.
She also delves in Therapeutic Writing and Painting where she turns nightmares, dreams and traumas into artistic illustrations and has a great admiration for entymology and wildlife alike. She is a fun loving spirit who loves her Apsaalooké husband, and believes that insects, plants, animals, earth and humans all deserve the same amount of respect.

Abigail hails from Cascadia although she was born and raised in Southern California. Abigail has received her Reiki attunements under the Usui/Holy Fire lineage. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Counseling and has spent time advocating for houseless individuals within various social justice programs. Abigail is an avid citizen scientist, with hopes to pursue a Bachelor of Sciences in the coming years, and has taken courses at the only Mycology school in the world.
She is also well-versed in herbalism, the language of plants and evolutionary and astrological herbalist methods. Part of her love for fungi, herbs and the stars stems from her ample time spent in nature and farming the land, Abigail enjoys walking and exploring this beautiful planet and recording its beauty via her camera as well as being involved with restoration, cultivation and hopefully – myco-remediation.
Abigail has been a creative, event, and wedding photographer in the past-- although now hones in on the macro perspectives in life! She is also a yoga-enthusiast and has a regular personal practice.
Abigail finds peace by the ocean, community and food by local farmer’s markets/breweries and loves the pre-historic and cheery disposition of Sunflowers!
Ellen Weber has a real passion for massage therapy, the health and wellness field with many years of experience. Ellen is a Licensed Massage Therapist graduating in 2005 with honors, Certified Stone Therapist 2013 and a Reiki Master and Teacher certified in 2014.
Ellen believes in the body’s ability to heal itself and utilizes her expertise to assist in this process. Through listening to the body and thoughtful communication, she has a collaborative approach of reaching the specific goals of her clients. Utilizing her clinical education and intuition, she provides a thorough and effective massage. She fell in love with utilizing stones in her massage techniques with amazing healing benefits. Stones can be added to any regular massage method. She has two specialty massages, The Healing Stone Massage and The Healing Stone Massage with Reiki. These specialty massages can bring the body into a deep restorative state of relaxation, clearing and cleansing the body of unwanted toxins and negative energies and bringing about ultimate rejuvenation.
Recently moving to New Mexico to be closer to her children and four grandchildren, Ellen enjoys the diverse and beautiful landscape of Northern New Mexico. Her favorite place is anywhere outside, hiking, biking, and exploring the many wonderful small towns.
Joy is a certified Ayurveda Yoga Specialist (AYS) offering yoga classes, private lessons and Ayurvedic Yoga consultations. Joy lives her life as an embodied yogi and practicing ayurvedist, teaching and sharing the rich transformative power of these two ancient wisdoms with others is her passion. Joy’s yogic foundation is rooted in the Raja (Royal) Yoga path and greatly influenced by the teachings of the Kripalu School of Yoga and The Himalayan Institute. She is also a devotee of the spiritual teacher Amma, and has been attending her annual retreats since 2013.
A lifelong learner, Joy has over 20 years of personal experience in both Yoga and Ayurveda. And has been teaching studio classes and private students since 2012. Her professional training includes, certification as an Ayurveda Yoga Specialist through the Himalayan Institute, 200 hour yoga teacher certification with Lotus Garden Yoga School, one of the first comparative theory yoga teacher training in the country, advanced teacher training in meditation, pranayama, yogic philosophy, and restorative yoga through the PranaKriya School of Yoga and Healing Arts, and level one training in Mindful Resilience for Trauma Recovery through the Veterans Yoga Project. Joy is currently furthering her education in Ayurveda and Yoga studies at The New Mexico School of Yoga.
In addition to teaching at The Healing House, Joy also teaches weekly classes at Dancing in the Desert Studio in Abiquiu. And is the owner and founder of Soulfire Yoga With Joy. She lives in Ojo Caliente with her husband, Peter, a Spiritual Director for Soulwork Spiritual Direction, Abby, their Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and two aging Himalayan cats, Theo and Clare. When Joy is not immersed in a yoga book or practice, she can be found hiking or cooking up nourishing meals for her family.
Born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Atma Chanan Kaur is a Meditation Teacher trained in Rishikesh, India; a Kundalini Yoga and Meditation Teacher as taught by Yogi Bhajan, Certified by KRI, the Kundalini Research Institute; a Yoga Therapy Teacher for Women; a Reiki Master; and a Journal Therapy Trainee at the Therapeutic Writing Institute.

Donette Morris is a native Texan and moved to New Mexico in 2016. While she has had a life-long interest in natural health, it was her first-hand experience with postpartum depression that set her life's purpose of holistic wellness in motion. Since that time, Donette has obtained certifications in Yoga Therapy, Wellness & Lifestyle Coaching, and is also a CNHP (Certified Natural Health Professional).

Certified Yoga Instructor, Yoga Study & Education Programs
Harimander’s love of yoga started with hatha yoga in 1978 and Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan in 1979. He had the blessing of attending almost 2000 in person classes with Yogi Bhajan. In Los Angeles, he completed teacher training with lead teachers and taught Kundalini yoga and meditation for several years before moving to New Mexico in 1991.
After moving to New Mexico, he and taught yoga in charter schools and corporate environments. He received his Kundalini yoga level I certification in 2003 and completed level II certification in 2017. He is completing the prerequisites for the GRD Center 1000-hour Kundalini Yoga Therapy training program and has completed; Foundations of Kundalini Yoga therapy: principles and practices, and Trauma informed Kundalini Yoga for recovery from PTSD. He studied Sat Nam Rasayan healing with Sant Guru Dev Singh Khalsa and tested for level I certification in 1999.
Har Har Khalsa has studied and practiced with highly skilled masters for over 40 years in the movement and energy arts field. He was trained and certified in Medical Qigong and Qi Healing by Master Tianyou Hao, who is renowned Grandmaster of Qigong.
In 2017, Har Har also traveled to Wudang Mountain, in China, to train with Master Ming Yue, learning a unique form of Tai Chi-Qigong called “Vitality Qigong”, which he teaches in his classes.
Har Har Khalsa additionally trained for five years with Sifu Richard Leirer, at the Qigong and Tai Chi Academy, and graduated from his intensive training course with certification as a Tai Chi and Qigong instructor. Prior to that, he also studied Qigong at the White Cloud Institute, with certification as a Qigong instructor.
Har Har Khalsa has written numerous articles on Qigong and he is the author of the book, “Qi and Body Awareness”, which shares methodology on how to discover Qi, gather Qi, and move Qi throughout the body for health and well-being.
Gino Brazil is the owner of Gino's Gym in Española for 36 years (1984-2020), taught SilverSneakers group exercise classes from 2010 to 2020 and specialized in teaching others the fundamentals of weight training.
Pat Czeto is a holistic energy practitioner who uses several modalities including Reiki, Breathwork, Focusing, and Integrative Energy Therapy. Pat’s Reiki Credentials include: Usui Reiki I & II, ART and Master, Karuna Reiki Master, Holy Fire Reiki Master, Holy Fire II. Pat is a graduate of Integration Process and Breath Therapy Master’s Program and has completed advanced levels in Integrated Energy Therapy, Focusing and Breath Therapy.

Prior to joining VWS, Pat was Regional Director of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children for the USDA Food and Nutrition Service (FNS). She directed State Agencies with annual state grants of over $600 million and led the Regional Wellness Program and Nutrition Education Committee. Pat spent many years as mentor and coach for FNS’ national Leadership Institute Candidates. She graduated from USDA’s Senior Executive Service Career Development Program and holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration and a second degree in Art History.
After decades in K-20 education as a classroom teacher, school administrator, professor and consultant, as well as her years in business as a manager and business owner, Lynne established En-Light-En Reiki in 2014. Kristiana Martinez is native to the Española Valley. She gained 3 years exposure in customer service and retail positions; is currently attending classes at Northern New Mexico College. She is planning to pursue a psychology degree as a youth councilor. Kristiana has firsthand encountered the merit of natural remedies by learning to manage anxiety,that previously had resulted in further health issues. Balancing mind and body through yoga practices and meditation helps replenish the positivity she receives and displays.
